Objective Horizon Series

Objective Horizons, investigates the perspective and act of bringing the camera down to the least common denominator of the horizontal plane, being the ground we stand on. I am interested in how the verticality of human perspective is affected by the horizon line and the dimensions in which it is represented and perceived. How are these spaces visually interchangeable within the landscape in relationship to the subject?  Is it possible for the subject to join the object on the horizon line and still see a horizontal plane or would it be vertical?   Could the object disappear altogether and become invisible upon the elimination of the axis of the other? This project strives to challenge the formalist single-point/ subjective perspective while referencing the psychoanalytical theories on horizontality introduced by Jacques Lacan and Roger Caillois.
